Western Washington University’s Grandparents “U” program offers intergenerational fun in Anacortes and Bellingham this summer

Western Washington University’s Grandparents “U” summer program for grandparents and their grandchildren ages 7-14 offers exciting programs this July and August.

Each two-day intergenerational summer program provides participants a chance to spend quality time together while exploring popular topics taught by Western faculty.

Anacortes offerings take place at Shannon Point Marine Center where participants learn about Marine Ecology: Monday and Tuesday, August 5-6 (age 7-10) or Wednesday and Thursday, August 7-8 (ages 10-14). The Anacortes topic this year is Shannon Point Marine Ecology.

Bellingham programs take place on Western Washington University’s campus, Thursday and Friday, July 18-19. Bellingham topics include astronomy, chemistry, bird watching, technology and visual arts.
